About

My name is Shaun Wilson, and I run this blog.

What’s it about?

My idea for this blog is to keep a finger on the pulse of the Bowl Championship Series. The driving force behind it would be a listing of all the various scenarios that could unravel at the end of year. So I certainly plan to have that as soon as it makes since to have it. Also, it is my plan to keep an updated list of all the bowl ineligible teams, bowl eligible teams, BCS eligible teams, and BCS automatic berth teams throughout the season.  Maybe even keep a “best case” list for all the teams as well. The idea is to give visitors to the blog the ability to see where all 119 teams in the FBS are headed at a glance.

Why?

Because I love college football. And I love data. Or more accurately, I love organized data. There is a lot of data when dealing with the BCS and there are a lot of misconceptions out there about how the BCS works and what these numbers mean. I hope this blog will help people understand the BCS – or at least I hope it will give people access to the information that the BCS tells us.

But the BCS is lame. I want a playoff!

You are not alone. The merits of the BCS vs a playoff is always a controversial topic and there will be plenty of time for me to share my own thoughts on that. The fact of the matter is, the BCS is the system we have. It is the system that was agreed upon and it will be the system for the foreseeable future. This blog can hopefully soften the blow and make the BCS less confusing, so even if you don’t agree with it, you can at least understand it.

So that’s it. Just BCS stuff?

I will cover all topics that have to do with college football. The emphasis will be on the BCS, but you can expect me to have my own top 25 list, previews of games, and maybe even a weekly feature where I pick a few games. I will also give my commentary on a few of the news items that come during the week.

How can I get involved?

Easy! Leave a comment, follow me on twitter, email me an idea, subscribe to the feed, and visit often. I will respond to most feedback I get and I will take all of your suggestions and comments seriously.
